Event to focus on Triangle Neighborhood

May 27, 2014

People are invited to experience Rochester’s Triangle Neighborhood at the first Taste of Triangle event held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 650 Merchants Road in the North Winton Village.

The free event will feature activities giving local residents and visitors a chance to experience foods, music and activities local to The Triangle Neighborhood.

“We’re reclaiming the narrative of our neighborhood for a positive purpose,” said Bryce Miller, president of North-East-Main Neighbors United, in a statement. “That begins with writing a storyline for which the neighborhood stands. One that celebrates the neighborhood’s heritage, people, businesses and housing to deliver real value to homeowners and individuals choosing to live here over comparable neighborhoods.”

The event is part of a larger multiyear resource commitment to the Triangle Neighborhood made by NeighborWorks Rochester aimed at building neighborhoods that can effectively compete with other neighborhoods for new residents by enacting market-based neighborhood revitalization strategies.
