The parent of RBS Citizens N.A. in the Rochester market is the latest to introduce mobile check deposit and account balance capabilities, the firm announced Tuesday.

Citizens Financial Group Inc.’s mobile deposits capture check images with a video camera, the company said. The new “Fast Balance” feature allows customers to view account balances without logging into their mobile banking app for iPhones, iPads and Androids.

Citizens ranks fourth in the Rochester market with local deposits of $1.5 billion, data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. shows.
