Workshops, site tours slated for port project

A second round of workshops and site tours for Charlotte residents and the Port of Rochester redevelopment is set for June 19 to 21, city officials announced Thursday.

Workshops are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on June 19 at the port’s terminal building on North River Street. Walking tours of the site are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., beginning at Lake Avenue and Portside Drive.

Workshops are scheduled for 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on June 20, with tours at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Additional workshops are at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on June 21, with tours at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Each session is limited to 15 people, officials said. Those interested can sign up at www.waterfrontrochester.com. The website also offers a visual preference survey.
