Region's best public relations work honored by PRSA

The Rochester Public Relations Society of America honored local work at its annual Prism Awards Thursday night during a ceremony at the Rochester Museum & Science Center.

Winners included local agencies, non-profits, corporations and academic institutions with more than 80 first- and second-place awards granted in the region. The public relations divisions of Roberts Communications Inc. and Tipping Point Communications Inc. both received Best in Show awards.

Dixon Schwabl Inc. earned 20 awards, the largest quantity of any entrant. 

Individuals were also honored alongside companies at the event.

Kristy Guerra, public relations product manager at Bausch + Lomb Inc., won the Rising Star award, and Dawn Borgeest, senior vice president and chief corporate affairs officer at the United Way of Greater Rochester, was named executive of the year.
