VirtualScopics Inc. and IXICO PLC jointly are leasing an office in New Hope, Pa. The 2,190-square- foot is located in the pharma corridor connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

"This new office will establish a presence for the international commercial and operational alliance VirtualScopics and IXICO have formed," said Erik Jensen, vice president of global business development and marketing for VirtualScopics, in a statement. "Opening this office together is an important initiative of our strategic alliance, and will allow us to work collaboratively, side by side with our colleagues at IXICO on numerous pharma projects.”

The two companies on Friday inked an alliance framework agreement and master subcontractor agreement to enhance each company’s global footprint.

“This provides IXICO's first premises in North America in a location close to many of our pharmaceutical customers,” said John Hall, vice president of business development for London-based IXICO, in a statement. "This enables us to better serve the needs of our current and future customers, and facilitates a closer working relationship within our alliance."
