Among the 27 public school districts in Monroe and Ontario counties, median teacher pay is highest in Greece. In superintendent compensation, East Irondequoit holds the No. 1 spot.

An analysis of teacher and superintendent pay data from the state Department of Education will appear in the 2014 Rochester Business Journal Schools Report Card, which will be published as a supplement to this Friday’s edition of the paper.

The 2013-14 median teacher salary in Greece was $67,000—nearly $20,000 more than in Manchester-Shortsville (Red Jacket), which had the lowest teacher pay ($47,102) among the 27 districts. Following Greece in the top five were Pittsford ($66,415), Webster ($62,207), Gates Chili ($60,897) and Brighton ($60,845).

The highest-paid superintendent is Susan Allen of East Irondequoit, who earned $328,002 in 2013-14 total compensation. At the other end is Charlene Harvey of Manchester-Shortsville; she earned $170,966.
