Wegmans Food Markets Inc. is slated to begin construction on a store in Concord Township, Pa., this September with plans to open the 115,000-square-foot location in fall 2015. The store is expected to add 550 to 600 jobs to the state’s economy.

The store marks one of three the grocery chain slated to open in 2015, along with stores in Alexandria, Va., and Westwood, Mass.

“We do have stores in this area—the Greater Philadelphia area—we have a number of stores in that area that we’ve opened over the last few years so we’re looking forward to this new location,” said Jo Natale, director of media relations at Wegmans.
