Allworx Corp., a Windstream Corp. company, has inked an agreement with Germantown, Md.-based Target Distributing, making it an authorized distributor of Allworx products.

Target Distributing focuses on personalized service and distributes technologies such as Voice over Internet Protocol offerings. It will carry the product line of Rochester-based Allworx, which includes advanced VoIP premise-based PBX systems, integrated IP telephones and IP switches.

"Target shares many of the basic corporate values Allworx embraces, including customer focus, value, reliability and quality, so we're confident in their ability to be a strong distribution partner," said Chris Hasenauer, president of Allworx, in a statement. "By combining the expanding Allworx product set, including our recently launched mobility products, with Target's long history of success in the telecommunications industry, we believe we have made it even easier for our Allworx partners to be successful."

The joint deal allows Target’s customers to have more options.

"Allworx is a natural fit for our customers, many of whom are making the transition to offering VoIP-based communications products that leverage  modern technology and SIP (session initiated protocol) trunking, " said Michael Momsen, president and CEO of Target in a statement. "We are excited by Allworx's approach to effortless communications, and we believe there is great opportunity for resellers looking to offer Allworx communications solutions."
