Cummins-Wagner Co. Inc. has completed its acquisition of J. L. Moore Inc. and has made it a division of Rochester-based Cummins-Wagner Siewert LLC.

J.L Moore Inc., located in Orchard Park, Erie County, is a manufacturers’ representative for valves, pump systems and process equipment for the water supply, wastewater and hydroelectric markets.

Siewert is a distributor/manufacturers’ rep in the sales of pumps, fluid process equipment, mixers and system packages. They provide assembly, aftermarket service and engineered solutions to its customers in New York.

The combination of J.L. Moore and Siewert creates a company with greater scale and resources to provide complete systems solutions in the water and wastewater markets, its leaders said. As a result of the deal, Siewert will add two employees to its 45-person workforce.

“The synergies between our companies will bring a complete systems/process approach to our customer base, and provide a more distinct product and service offering,” states Doug Ardinger, president and CEO of Maryland-based Cummins-Wagner, in a statement.
