Mott’s LLP will add new manufacturing lines and updated machinery at its production facility in Wayne County and create 20 new jobs, officials announced Wednesday.

The new workers will enable the plant to produce its Mott’s Snack & Go applesauce pouches, officials said. Launched in 2011, the pouches are produced by a contract manufacturer.

The multimillion dollar expansion at the Williamson plant will also include renovations, enhancing Mott’s standing as the leading buyer of apples in New York State and the area’s standing as the heart of apple production in Upstate New York, officials said.

The 59-year-old plant employs 300, and is one of 18 production facilities operated by Mott’s parent Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

The Empire State Development Corp. is providing tax credits of up to $300,000 over 10 years, officials said.
