New-vehicle sales in Monroe County this year continue to outpace 2013 sales, Rochester Automobile Dealers’ Association reported this week.

Car dealers sold 4,379 new cars and trucks in July, up nearly 9 percent from 4,034 in June and relatively flat from 4,361 in July 2013. New-car sales typically improve from June to July, RADA historical data shows.

Area dealers have sold some 27,703 new vehicles this year, up more than 6 percent from 26,098 in the same time period a year ago.
