Pittsford firm among nation's top independent advisers

Rochester Business Journal
August 26, 2014

LVW Advisors LLC in Pittsford is ranked 26th, up 49 spots from last year, on Barron’s list of the Top 100 independent financial advisers.

LVW, under owner and principal Lori Van Dusen, received a score of 94.3 out of a possible 100. The magazine unveiled the list Saturday.

Barron’s lists LVW with nearly $4.2 billion in assets, with a typical account of $50 million from clients with an average net worth of $75 million.

The ranking reflects the volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms and the quality of the advisers' practices, the magazine reported.

The scoring system assigns a top score of 100 and rates the rest by comparison.

LVW, the only Upstate New York firm on the 2014 list, ranked 78th in 2013.

Van Dusen ranks seventh on Barron’s list of the Top 100 female financial advisers released in June.
