Brighton Securities names new CEO

Rochester Business Journal
August 27, 2014

Brighton Securities Corp. has appointed Jai Ramachandran as CEO, replacing Alexandra Conboy, who resigned to pursue other opportunities, company officials said.

Ramachandran previously was a director on the investment banking team at Oppenheimer & Co. He earned his undergraduate degree at Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School.

“Given my local roots and experience within the financial services industry, I am familiar with the market and understand the unique needs of customers within the region,” Ramachandran said in a statement released Tuesday afternoon.

Brighton Securities ranks 10th on the Rochester Business Journal’s list of brokerages in the Rochester market with 20 local brokers.
