More than three dozen websites have been chosen as finalists in the Rochester Business Journal’s 18th Best of the Web competition.
Since 1996, the Best of the Web program has recognized the leading efforts among area businesses and non-profits that have a presence on the Internet.
Readers submitted nearly 200 nominations for the 2015 competition. A panel of judges selected by the newspaper evaluates finalists based on content, usefulness, navigability, use of technology, design quality, e-commerce and likelihood of repeat visits.
The 13 category winners—and the gold, silver and bronze overall winners—will be announced at an awards breakfast scheduled for 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, at the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside.
In addition, Digital Rochester again will present its Business Transformation Award to recognize a local organization that has transformed its business through use of the Internet.
New this year is a Google Analytics Workshop, to be held from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. The workshop will cover a range of topics including the methodology and terminology essential to understanding reports; how to measure specific marketing and company objectives; how measure online and offline marketing campaigns; and how to customize Google Analytics for additional insights and reports.
