Finalists picked for 19th annual Best of the Web

Rochester Business Journal
March 4, 2016

Rochester Business Journal’s 19th Best of the Web competition will recognize more than 40 companies, non-profits and individuals for their online efforts.

Awards for best app, designer of the year and digital developer of the year have been added in this year’s competition and are being announced ahead of the April awards event.

ESL Federal Credit Union has won for best app, Brittani Riley of Archer Communications Inc. has been named designer of the year, and Jon Potter of Dwaiter Design is digital developer of the year.

Since 1996, the Best of the Web pro-gram has recognized websites and other digital media of area businesses and non-profits. This year readers submitted nearly 200 nominations in 13 categories. A panel of judges selected by the newspaper evaluates finalists based on content, usefulness, navigability, use of technology, design quality, e-commerce and likelihood of repeat visits.

Category winners—and the gold, silver and bronze overall winners—will be announced at an awards breakfast scheduled for 7:30 to 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 14 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
