Position then: Anchor, "13 WHAM News This Morning" and "13 WHAM News at 5." I also was part of the Tony and Dee morning show on Warm 101.3.
Current business role: I am part of the team on "13 WHAM News This Morning" on WHAM-TV 13 and CW-16 every weekday morning from 5 to 9 a.m. I also provide news for Brother Wease each day on WFXF-FM 95.1, the Fox, and for JP Hastings on WDVI-FM 100.5, the Drive. Evenings, I co-anchor "13 WHAM News at 5." My daily duties include a mix of writing, anchoring, reporting and weighing in on decisions about coverage.

Most meaningful career-related accomplishment: Some stories I've done that turned out well, but broadcast news is a team sport, so it's hard to answer that question. I guess I'd have to go back to being hired at Channel 13, which was a goal I'd set before I started high school.
Surprising fact: When I retire, I want to have long hair and a beard. I live and die with the Buffalo Sabres. I play the guitar every day but have yet to take a lesson; I really need those lessons.

Denise Fitzgerald

Current business role: I currently am the CEO of a physician services company. We provide full management services to private and hospital-employed physician practices. Our service lines include credentialing, medical billing, accounting, human resource management, information technology and consulting.

Most meaningful career-related accomplishment: Being a part of a growing and profitable company with its roots and commitment firmly with the Greater Rochester area. Since my joining, the company has increased nearly fivefold in assets and income and more than doubled the number of branch offices.
Surprising fact: While living in Amsterdam in the Netherlands for two years in the early 1990s, I spent most of my working days in the Czech Republic and Ukraine.

During those years, the company was able to maintain profitability and grow and provide enhanced services to the clients we serve.
Surprising fact: The littlest things in life make me happy, such as a lazy morning with my children, a good cup of coffee or a bright, sunny day.

What brought you to Rochester? I immigrated with my mother and four siblings in 1976 following my father's death in 1972, mostly for economic reasons. My siblings and I were able to attend college, finding our own means to educate ourselves.
Most meaningful career-related accomplishment: Being able to help clients navigate through financial decisions and help them achieve their goals and objectives, one client at a time.
Surprising fact: I am blessed with a high level of energy, which I devote to the things I enjoy the most in life.
