Ernest Del Monte Sr.
Chairman and CEO, E.J. Del Monte Corp.
Del Monte founded E.J. Del Monte Corp. in 1953.
He has been a Marriott International Inc. franchisee since 1974. Del Monte was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. Afterward, he became a manufacturer of aircraft and missile generators and later went on to become an industrial developer, building and leasing large factories and office buildings.
Del Monte is a member of the board of trustees for the University of Rochester and is an honorary trustee of Rochester Institute of Technology. He attended SUNY Buffalo.
President, Mark IV Enterprises
DiMarzo established Mark IV Construction Co. with family members in 1967. Mark IV builds townhomes, apartment complexes and commercial and professional office developments, including Corn Hill Landing. The firm has grown under DiMarzo's leadership to include two dozen associated organizations.
DiMarzo graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in real estate and finance.
President and CEO, the Dorschel Group
Dorschel began his automotive career in 1968 as a new car salesman and purchased Dorschel Buick-Toyota from his father in 1977. The Dorschel Group has grown to include eight new-car franchises in four locations and four used-car operations.
Dorschel was inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame. He also was selected as a General Motors Dealer of the Year and received GM's Jack Smith Leadership Award from 2002 to 2007.
Dorschel earned a B.A. in business administration/management from the University of Georgia. He attended the GM Institute dealer program and the Pat Ryan Institute of auto finance and insurance.
Dorschel is a director of the New York State Automobile Dealers' Association and a board member of Pictometry International.
President, Vision Automotive Group
Edwards established Vision Automotive Group in 1995 when he and his wife, Margie, opened Empire Ford. Since then, Edwards has expanded to seven dealerships in Rochester, eight in Buffalo and one in Florida. Vision Automotive Group sells vehicles made by Kia, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep and Mitsubishi and employs approximately 500 people.
Edwards is involved in a variety of community organizations, including Webster Lions Club and St. Rita's parish. He graduated from SUNY College at Oswego with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
President and CEO, LeChase Construction Services LLC
Goodrich became CEO of LeChase in 2007. He had been appointed president in 2002 and joined LeChase in 1985. Before that, he was a project manager for Construction Advisors East Inc. Early in his construction career, Goodrich was a project manager for John P. Bell & Son Inc.
Goodrich is a board member of several organizations, including Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, Hillside Children's Center, Keuka College, General Building Contractors and Rochester Downtown Development Corp.
Goodrich studied business at SUNY Buffalo and holds a bachelor's degree in business from Roberts Wesleyan College and an associate's degree in construction engineering technology from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred.
George Hamlin IV
President and CEO, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co.
Hamlin has been president and CEO of Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co. since 1979 and Canandaigua National Corp. since its inception in 1984. He also is chairman of the Genesee Valley Trust Co. and CNB Mortgage Co. Before joining the bank in 1978, he was associated with the law firm Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle.
Hamlin graduated from Yale University in 1963 with a B.S. degree in physics. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1972 after serving in the U.S. Air Force for six years.
Hamlin serves on numerous community and professional boards. He is chairman of the boards of Thompson Health and Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester. He is also active in the New York Bankers Association and is a member of its legislative committee.
President and CEO, Hammer Packaging Corp.
Hammer began his career at the former Hammer Lithograph in 1969 in the sales and customer service department. He was promoted to vice president in 1975 and president and CEO in 1983.
He was inducted into the New York Business Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Rochester Business Hall of Fame in 2008. Hammer also received the industry's highest award, the Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award, in 2009. He serves on the boards of the Mary Cariola Children's Center, James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital, JPMorgan Chase and Doyle Security.
He has a BBA in marketing from Drake College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Thomas Judson Jr.
Chairman and CEO, the Pike Co. Inc.
Judson began his career in construction as a laborer and carpenter apprentice during school summer breaks for John B. Pike & Son Inc., a general contracting company founded by his great-grandfather in 1873. Judson became president of the company in 1975. In 1985, he established the Pike Co. Inc.
Judson serves on several boards, including the executive committee and board of trustees for Rochester Institute of Technology and the board of directors of the Business Council of New York State Inc. He is chairman of the board of the Rochester Business Alliance.
Judson received his B.S. from Yale University and MBA from Cornell University.
Co-CEO, Kessler Restaurants
Dennis Kessler and his brother, Laurence, own and operate 21 Burger King and 47 Friendly's restaurants. Kessler has more than 27 years of experience in the business, as well as in real estate and human resource development. He also is a part-time professor at the University of Rochester Simon Graduate School of Business. He is a member of several boards, including that of the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Kessler graduated from City University of New York and earned a master's degree in sociology from John Hay College of Criminal Justice. He also attended Yale University Law School and Northwestern University School of Law.

Laurence Kessler began his career as a Manhattan stockbroker, where he first saw the potential of franchise restaurants. In 1975, he moved to Rochester, where he opened his first Burger King franchise. As the operation grew, he recruited his brother Dennis to oversee daily operations while he took on the financial planning and oversight. Today they own and operate 21 Burger Kings and 47 Friendly's restaurants in Upstate New York.
Kessler earned his bachelor's degree in government from Adelphi University in 1965.
CEO, Element K Corp.
Krause was named CEO in 2007. Most recently, he oversaw online learning products, learning services and print courseware businesses as president, a job he took in 2006. Before that, he held the position of executive vice president. Krause had held several other management positions since joining Element K, then Ziff-Davis, in 1996.
Krause received a B.S. in business management and marketing from Cornell University and an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester.
President and CEO, LiDestri Foods Inc.
LiDestri began his career two years after coming to America from Italy. Starting at age 16, he worked through high school and college as a manufacturing and operations employee for Ragu Foods Inc. He remained at Ragu until 1976, when he was hired as general manager at Cantisano Foods Inc. In 1991, LiDestri became its president; six years later, he was named CEO. LiDestri purchased all outstanding shares from the Cantisano family in September 2002. As the sole owner, he changed the name of the company to LiDestri Foods Inc.
CEO, North American Breweries Inc.
Lozyniak has been CEO of North American Breweries Inc., a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners L.P., since its formation in February 2009. Rochester's High Falls Brewing Co. LLC, which operates as Genesee Brewing Co., is part of North American Breweries, along with Labatt USA and Seagram's Escapes Brands.
Before joining North American Breweries, Lozyniak was CEO of Bristol Compressors Inc. in Bristol, Va., from September 2007 to February 2009. He previously held management positions with Blue Ridge Paper Products Inc., a paper mill and packaging company in Canton, N.C.
CEO, Morgan Management
Robert Morgan, a Rochester native, shifted his career into real estate after his family-owned seafood store closed. He founded Morgan Management in 1976 after graduating from high school and started to expand the business in 1992.
His first endeavor was the mobile home park business. Today, Morgan Management operates residential and commercial real estate stretching from New York to Texas. The firm employs some 1,500 people, including 500 in Rochester.
Morgan graduated in 1975 from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in business.
President, Flower City Printing Inc.
Oliveri co-founded Flower City Printing in 1970. He has spent his career building the company into one of the 100 largest printing operations in the United States.
Oliveri's initial responsibilities with the company focused mainly on production operations. He has been responsible for several major expansions of both the physical plant and its manufacturing capabilities and also for accommodating the needs and requirements of Flower City Printing's sales force and customers. In more recent years, Oliveri has assumed various administrative functions. Among his key roles as president is spearheading efforts to keep the firm on the cutting edge of technology.
President and CEO, Optimation Technology Inc.
Pollock is founder and head of Optimation Technology Inc. Since he started the firm 25 years ago, Optimation has grown to 350 employees and $50 million in revenue. Before he launched the company, Pollock was a high school teacher, a college associate professor and an engineer at Eastman Kodak Co.
Pollock is a member of professional associations and advisory boards. He also periodically travels to Africa to serve in community development projects. In July 2010, he is leading a team of volunteers to build a dormitory in Kenya.
Pollock in 2010 received the Herbert Vanden Brul Entrepreneurial Award from the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer and holds B.S. and M.E. degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
CEO, O'Connell Electric Co. Inc.
Salerno joined the company in 1971 as controller and became CEO in 2006.
Before joining O'Connell Electric, Salerno worked for the CPA firm Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche LLC) for nearly six years, earning a CPA certificate.
O'Connell Electric is rated among the 50 largest U.S. electrical contractors.
Salerno graduated from St. John Fisher College with a BBA in accounting. He is on the college's board of trustees. He also is chairman of the board of the Rochester Museum & Science Center and a member of the boards of various industry groups.
CEO, Bausch & Lomb
Saunders became CEO of Bausch & Lomb in March. Most recently he had been president of global consumer health care with Schering-Plough. He headed integration for the firm's merger with Merck & Co. and for the firm's acquisition of Organon BioSciences.
Before joining Schering-Plough, Saunders worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Coventry Health Care, Home Care Corporation of America and Thomas Jefferson University Health System.
He is on several boards, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Upstate New York Regional Advisory Board. Saunders earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from Temple University School of Business and a law degree from Temple University School of Law.
Office managing partner, Nixon Peabody LLP
Turner, who chaired the Nixon Peabody Environmental Practice Group for 14 years, concentrates in environmental law.
Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2009 listed Turner as a leading lawyer in environmental law. He also is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Environmental Law, 2006-2008. Turner has published in law reviews and speaks frequently on environmental law issues.
He received his B.A. from Colgate University and his J.D. from Washington and Lee University.
Chairman and CEO, Sutherland Global Services Inc.
Vellodi founded Sutherland Global Services Inc. in 1986. Today the company employs 24,000 people in 23 global delivery centers in the United States, Canada, India, the Philippines, Bulgaria and Mexico. Vellodi began his career as a consultant to Merck and later joined Xerox Corp.
He is involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors and serves on several boards, including the Mayo Clinic, US/India Business Council and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Vellodi is the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Herbert W. VandenBrul Entrepreneurial Award.
Vellodi received his B.S. in economics with mathematics and statistics from Loyola University and holds an MBA from Rutgers University.
CEO, Wegmans Food Markets Inc.
Wegman joined his family's business in 1964, becoming a store manager in 1969. In 1971, he directed the implementation of the planning and scheduling process, and in 1976, he was named president. He became CEO in 2005.
Wegman serves on the board of directors of the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection and the Rochester Business Alliance Inc. and is a senior trustee of the University of Rochester. In October 2008, Ethisphere magazine named Wegman to its list of the "100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics." In January 2009, Wegmans Food Markets ranked No. 5 on Fortune magazine's list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For." The company has been on the list for 12 consecutive years and ranked No. 1 in 2005.
Wegman graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics.
Chairman and CEO, HCR
Woerner is the founder and head of Home Care of Rochester, a certified home health organization started in 1978. In 2007 and 2008, HCR was named a top-performing home health agency in New York by IPRO, an independent, non-profit corporation.
Woerner was the first living woman to be inducted into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame and has been recognized for excellence in leadership by the Women Executives in State Government. She is founding director and first president of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research and holds awards in nursing.
Woerner served on the New York Federal Reserve and is a director for First Niagara Financial Services Inc. She received a B.S. from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
