Paychex subsidiary lands on national list

A Paychex Inc. subsidiary has been named on Business Insurance magazine’s 2011 list of the Top 100 Brokers of U.S. Business.

In its annual list, the trade magazine for the commercial insurance industry ranked Paychex Insurance Agency No. 30. The list ranks agents and brokers based on revenues generated by U.S.-based clients.

Founded in 1997, Paychex Insurance Agency offers services ranging from business owner policies, workers’ compensation, property and casualty and health and benefits, Paychex officials said.

“We’ve seen great growth in our insurance business since its inception,” said Kevin Hill, Paychex vice president of insurance sales and operations. “Initially, we offered insurance solely to our Rochester-area clients, and then expanded the program nationwide based on its local success. To be ranked among the top 30 insurance firms in the U.S. is a true testament to our business model, customer service and talented workforce.”

Paychex was the only area firm included on the list.
