Rochester Business Journal
March 1, 2012

Eastman Kodak Co. plans to lay off 91 employees, including 70 at a plant on Manitou Road in Gates, a filing with the state Department of Labor shows.

Kodak filed a notice with the state Wednesday indicating the company would lay off employees at the Gates facility, along with 11 workers at Kodak Office, eight employees at Eastman Park, and two workers at Kodak Research Labs.

The layoffs are to occur through May 23, the filing states. Kodak lists the reason for the layoff as economic.

The company had 5,129 Rochester-area employees at the end of 2011.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 19.
