Wegmans Food Markets Inc. has completed the development of its distribution center in Pottsville, Pa.

The company announced the opening of a third warehouse as part of its retail service center in Pottsville. Wegmans officials said Friday the company invested $70 million in the 492,000-square-foot warehouse, which operates alongside two other warehouse facilities at the site.

Officials said the new facility will store fresh and frozen foods. It features five temperature zones for frozen and refrigerated foods, and has more than 100 loading docks.

The new warehouse will add 200 new jobs, bringing Wegmans’ total number of employees at the Pottsville site to 529. The company said it now has more than 8,000 employees in Pennsylvania.
