The Steel River BBQ Bar & Grill in Charlotte held its grand opening Tuesday.

The restaurant—at 421 River St., near the Port of Rochester, sells barbeque with a Hispanic flair, its owners said. Items include Cuban roast pork platter and pulled pork empanada.

Owners Jose Aponte, Michelle Cipolla-Aponte and Tina Cipolla-Youst invested nearly $40,000 to open the restaurant, which employs six. An additional six jobs are planned in the next three years, officials said.
