Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division has received a $5.1 million order to supply its handheld radios to an unidentified NATO nation.

The radios will be used to provide tactical communications to the country’s armed forces personnel.

“The (radio) provides warfighters with high-performance voice and data capabilities necessary for success on a range of missions,” said Brendan O’Connell, president of RF Communications’ international business, in a statement.

RF Communications employs some 2,200 local workers.
