Verizon Wireless Inc. announced Tuesday it has expanded its 4G LTE coverage at a dozen sites in the Rochester area.

Verizon has added two sites in Rochester, as well as a site each in Bergen, Geneva, Honeoye, Huron, Macedon, Marion, Palmyra, Penn Yan, Savannah and Warsaw.

Verizon last month announced plans to add 200 full-time employees to its call center in Henrietta in 2013 to meet the needs of a growing customer base.

Verizon Wireless has roughly 1,100 employees at the call center, up from 1,000 when the center opened in 2000. Overall, Verizon Wireless employs 1,400 people in the Rochester area between its Upstate New York region headquarters and call center, a network engineering facility and 11 retail stores.
