The County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency on Tuesday approved
tax breaks as part of a Tops Markets LLC grocery store and gas station headed to Frontier Commons Plaza in Henrietta.

The entity 1225 Jefferson L.P. was approved for sales tax exemptions of $121,600 to renovate 55,000 square feet of the Frontier Commons Plaza to house the Tops location at 1215 Jefferson Road.

The community benefit is more than $1 million, COMIDA projections show.

Tops is moving the store from 1100 Jefferson Road because deed restrictions at its current site do not allow a fueling station, company officials said. Some 18 jobs will be added to current employment of 79.

DDS Cos. entity 1020 John Street LLC was approved for sales and mortgage tax breaks of $70,180 for the purchase and furnishing of a 75,000-square-foot building at 45 Hendrix Road in Henrietta. The projected community benefit is $2.33 million.

The $4.1 million project will add 60 jobs over three years to the company’s existing workforce of 215, DDS officials said.

Laureland 2010 LLC was approved for $128,442 in property tax breaks to redevelop a 10,000-square-foot building at 2010 Empire Boulevard in Webster for lease to Rochester General Hospital. The projected benefit is $840,339.

The $1.3 million project is to house a hemodialysis unit to serve East Rochester, Fairport, Penfield and Webster, along with Wayne County. Some 17 employees will be hired over three years, officials said.

Brand Networks Inc. was approved for sales-tax exemptions totaling $61,797 Tuesday. The benefit to the community is projected to be $348,912.

Brand Networks plans to relocate to a larger facility in the High Falls district and add 75 workers in Rochester over two years.

The company plans to spend $772,460 on equipment, furniture and fixtures for 15,000 square feet of renovated space at 61 Commercial St. Its current offices at 250 South Ave. occupy 5,000 square feet.

The Boston-based provider of social software, marketing services and analytics employs 46 locally. (See related story.)
