The state Department of Transportation will try to sell nine parcels of land in the Rochester area during a public auction at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at its Region 4 offices, 1530 Jefferson Road in Henrietta.
Prospective bidders should research local zoning requirements before placing bids, DOT officials said. Property values, minimum bids and payments required on the day of the auction are listed with each parcel. Property details are available at www.dot.ny.gov/R4surplus. Registration begins at 9:30.
Five parcels are in Monroe County. Their location, acreage, minimum bid requirement and down payment are as follows:
Town of Irondequoit, Route 590 at the eastern property line of 434 Liberty Ave., 0.410 acre, $9,500, $475.
Town of Irondequoit, Route 590 at the eastern property line of 288 Lake Breeze Park, 0.319 acre, $7,400, $370.
Town of Chili, southwest corner of Ballantyne Road and Scottsville Road, 1.136 acres, $5,000, $250.
Town of Greece, between Newton Road and 2010 West Ridge Road, 0.239 acre, $7,500, $375.
Town of Webster, between 90 Lake Road and 112 Lake Road, 0.190 acre, $92,500, $4,625.
Two parcels are in Ontario County:
Town of Canandaigua, east of Route 332 and south of Yerkes Road, 2.877 acres, $14,000, $700.
