Nazareth to announce new facility for health care education

Rochester Business Journal
April 11, 2013

Nazareth College of Rochester plans Friday to announce details of a new institute serving as a model for health care education and hands-on training for health care professionals.

The college has planned a news conference at 10 a.m. about the project, led by President Daan Braveman.

Nazareth College has been striving to increase its stature in the health care realm in recent years. Last year it announced a partnership with Unity Health System to develop programs and share services with the intention of improving education for health care workers.

Under the partnership, Nazareth students gained access to patients and patient data while Unity employees gained the ability to participate in research under the mentorship of Nazareth faculty.
