Victor-based L-3 GCS gets $22.3M contract

Victor-based L-3 Global Communications Solutions Inc. has landed a $22.3 million deal to supply communications equipment to the Australian Defence Force.

The firm will provide portable satellite terminals, deployment kits, spare parts and test equipment, President Robert Jacobson said. In addition, a sister company of L-3 GCS will provide logistics support, engineering services, supply support services, maintenance services and training.

Global Communications Solutions is a division of New York City-based L-3 Communications Holdings Inc.

The firm supplies deployable satellite communications products, systems and airtime for government, broadcast media, insurers and other commercial customers.
