McDougall Communications gets new home

Rochester Business Journal
November 15, 2013

McDougall Communications LLC has relocated to 2423 Monroe Ave. in Brighton, a move prompted by its increasing client base.

In its two years of operation, the public relations company has focused on corporate communications, media relations, brand development, social media and corporate philanthropy counsel for businesses and non-profit organizations.

The firm has four employees and looks to add a couple of employees next year.

“I never want to measure the success of the agency by our square footage, but at the same time obviously as we grow we need a little more space to operate,” President Michael McDougall said. “(The) office is a great place to have a base, but we’re not the type of agency that will be holed up behind our desks. We’re probably (away) from here as often as we’re here.”

The company has worked with more than 40 clients this year and has 22 active clients. Sixty percent of its business is based in the Rochester area. Next year the firm expects to grow its client base by 20 to 25 percent.

It expects a 30 percent increase in revenues next year.

"The move gives us five times the space versus our original location on East Avenue, which we now require as the business continues to expand," McDougall said. "While our work spans continents, we'll always place a high value on calling the Rochester region our home. The new site provides a location convenient to our local clients as well as an easy commute for members of our team."
