Cuomo picks Crossdale for state post

Rochester Business Journal
January 17, 2014

Corinda Crossdale, a former director of the Monroe County Office for the Aging, is Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s pick to direct the New York State Office for the Aging.

Crossdale led the Monroe County office from 2004 to 2012, when Cuomo appointed her as the state’s assistant secretary of mental hygiene. She was replaced in Monroe County by the current director, Julie Allen Aldrich.

Crossdale will serve as acting director of the state Office for the Aging until confirmed by the state Senate.

“I’m gratified to be a part of Gov. Cuomo’s administration and look forward to working with other state, local and voluntary agencies and the private sector to better serve our older population,” she said in a statement this week.
