Gourmet shop to open in East Rochester

Rosario Pino’s Artisan Foods will open Friday in the Piano Works Mall in East Rochester, officials announced Monday.

The gourmet shop is owned by Gary Pino and his son Ross, who also own the Concept II Fine Kitchens, Baths, Tile & Stone adjacent to the new store.

The new shop will offer olive oils, balsamic vinegars, sauces, spices, gift baskets, condiments, gluten-free products, desserts, cookware, small appliances and prepared foods, the owners said.

The store is named for Gary Pino’s father, who ran a wholesale produce distributorship, selling fruits and vegetables to Rochester’s major markets, the owners said.

“Our store is a tribute to my father and a time when generations came together to cook and eat,” Gary Pino said in a statement.
