Breathe Yoga & Juice Bar to expand in Pittsford

Breathe Yoga & Juice Bar Inc. is expanding again.

The Pittsford-company expanded to Webster in 2010 and then opened a location on East Avenue last November. Now Breathe will expand its flagship location on South Main Street in Pittsford by opening Breath at Home, its first home furnishing store.

Breath at Home is to be located in the 2,800 square foot space formerly occupied by Empire Paint & Decorating Inc. The store will feature high quality items with cultural significance including spiritual sculptures, bed covers, pillows and wall hangings.

Breathe owner Cyndi Weis and her daughter Abby, the store’s general manager, purchased the merchandise for the store while on a trip to India and China in February.

Cyndi Weis said Breathe at Home is aimed to help potential Breathe Yoga franchisees replicate the company’s decor when they open their own locations. Breathe Yoga announced plans to franchise last fall and expects to announce the opening of several franchises in the region by the time Breathe at Home opens this summer.

“When I opened Breathe in 2002, I didn't have a roadmap,” she said. “As we’ve embarked on the franchising path, I’ve wanted to do whatever I can to help our new business owners be successful by creating useful tools and resources that are all in one place for them, including proprietary software systems and a way for them to furnish their businesses as easily as possible. We’ve strategically planned our franchising this way.”
