President of Kodak's consumer business to resign

Eastman Kodak Co. said Thursday the president of its consumer business will resign.

Pradeep Jotwani, also chief marketing officer and senior vice president, will resign from the company, effective May 31, Kodak said.

Laura Quatela, who was elected president and chief operating officer Jan. 1 and oversees consumer business and corporate functions, will assume direct leadership of the consumer business.

Jotwani’s marketing duties already had been realigned along business segment lines to increase efficiency, Kodak said.

“We are grateful to Pradeep for his contributions in leading our consumer business and our brand management through a period of transformation, and we wish him well in his new endeavors. Even under the circumstances of the last several months, our consumer segment has continued to improve performance, and the Kodak brand remains extremely strong,” Chairman and CEO Antonio Perez said in a statement.

Kodak filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 19.

Jotwani joined Kodak in September 2010 as president of consumer digital imaging group. He had worked  at Hewlett-Packard Co. for 25 years before leaving in 2007 as senior vice president, of supplies, imaging and printing group. After leaving HP and before joining Kodak, he served as an operating executive at Vector Capital, a San Francisco-based private-equity firm.
