Pair of new stores coming to Eastview

Rochester Business Journal
June 26, 2012

Two new stores are coming to Eastview Mall.

Soma Intimates, a boutique store that offers high-end women’s underwear, sleepwear and active wear, is to open this summer.

Mall owner Wilmorite Management Group LLC said the location would be Soma Intimates’ first in Upstate, New York and will occupy a 3,600-square-foot space in the mall.

Wilmorite also announced Vera Bradley, a handbag and accessory designer, will open its first upstate location at Eastview in 2013. The store is to occupy a 1,900 square-foot space.

Wilmorite said the previously announced Guess store, planned for the former Bon-Ton Stores Inc. wing of the mall will open during the first week of July.

The announcements come on the heels of news this year that Von Maur would fill the space in the mall formerly occupied by the Bon Ton in the fall 2013. Von Maur is a Midwest department store chain comparable with Lord & Taylor or Nordstrom.
