M&T leads in market share

M&T Bank Corp. leads the Rochester market with local deposits of $3.6 billion, data released this week by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. shows.

JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. is second with deposits of $1.7 billion. Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co. is third at $1.6 billion.

RBS Citizens N.A. is fourth on the list with deposits of nearly $1.52 billion, and First Niagara Bank N.A. took fifth place with $1.5 billion.

The market share totals are as of June 30.
