Home Properties Inc. has broken ground on an upscale 385-unit apartment community in Conshohocken, Pa., the company said Friday.

It is the 19th apartment community Home Properties has in the Philadelphia area, and continues its growth in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Courts at Spring Mill Station will offer studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units available for rent in early 2014. Amenities include a fitness center with yoga studio, resort-style swimming pool, indoor half-court for basketball and volleyball, and a Wi-Fi cafe with computer stations and coffee bar.

In addition, the 18th century Miller’s House at Spring Mill is being renovated as part of this project for use as retail and professional offices.

Home Properties is planning to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification for the property.

“Easy access to public transportation combined with the many environmentally friendly building practices Home Properties is incorporating, makes a greener lifestyle attainable,” said Kerri Haltom, regional vice president, Philadelphia region, in a statement.
