Mario Daniele, co-owner of Mario’s Italian Steakhouse on Monroe Avenue and its sister restaurants Bazil’s and the Original Crab Shack, has released a new cookbook.
The book, titled “Mario’s: 100 Recipes from the Landmark Rochester, NY Restaurant,” features 100 of the chef and restaurant owner’s recipes. It is Daniele’s second cookbook.
The book also tells the story of Daniele’s journey as an Italian immigrant who came to America and created a stable family business. Daniele owns and operates his restaurants with his sons Anthony and Donny.
“I am so proud of what my family, staff and special guests have accomplished through our restaurants,” said Daniele, in a statement. “So many great memories, occasions and great meals. Some restaurants are very secretive of their recipes, but I believe these wonderful meals should be shared with everyone.”
Daniele’s latest book is available at Rochester-area Wegmans Food Markets Inc. locations and at local Barnes & Noble Inc. stores.
