The Balduzzi Group, a Syracuse-based political consulting and media firm for the Democratic Party, has added Rochester’s Anthony Testa as a partner and plans to open an office here soon, President John Balduzzi announced Thursday.

Testa previously was a partner at advertising agency Novak Media Inc. in Webster, specializing in political advertising for television and radio.

His clients have included former Rochester Mayor and current Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy, state Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Morelle, Rep. Daniel Maffei and Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner.

Novak Media owner Paul Novak, a Democratic consultant, will advise the Balduzzi Group.

“For nearly two decades, Anthony Testa and Paul Novak have been making some of the best political TV and radio spots in the business,” Balduzzi said.

“I’m honored to have Anthony on board and Paul in an advisory role so that the Balduzzi Group can begin to bring outstanding TV and radio services to our clients.”
