ACM Medical Laboratories Inc. said Tuesday its ACM Global Central Laboratory unit has hired a top Bausch & Lomb Inc. clinical trials official.

Timo Jackle was named vice president of global clinical trials operations and is to run U.S. clinical trials operations and help set global clinical trials strategy, ACM officials said.

Jackle most recently served as the eye-care company’s executive director of global clinical trials. He previously was global refractive research and development and R&D site leader for Bausch & Lomb’s German refractive surgery subsidiary.

Greece-based ACM is a for-profit unit of Unity Health System. Its clinical trials business includes a British unit and operations in India and the Pacific Rim.
