Rochester Business Journal
June 20, 2013

The Food and Drug Administration has approved Carestream Health Inc.’s low-dose DRX 2530C radiography detector, company officials said Thursday.

Suitable for pediatric use as well as orthopedic exams and general scans, the wireless detector can yield high-quality images while exposing subjects to less radiation than other imaging devices, officials said.

Carestream projects to begin shipping the detector to U.S’s customers in the third quarter.
