Rochester Business Journal
July 31, 2013

An Indian firm with a local presence reported increases its fiscal fourth-quarter sales and profit Wednesday.

HCL Technologies Ltd. reported net income of $213 million, up 37 percent from the year before. Sales were $1.2 billion, up nearly 14 percent.

Growth in HCL Technology's top line was driven by strong revenue across the Americas and Europe regions, the company reported. HCL recorded 12.9 percent growth in the Americas, which account for about 56 percent of overall revenue.

For fiscal 2013, net income was up 50.5 percent to $745 million. Sales, too, increased to $4.6 billion, up 17 percent from the year before.

HCL Technologies is a provider of information technology and consulting services. The company has 150 local employees.

In 2011, Xerox Corp. outsourced roughly 250 local engineering positions to HCL.
