Tops Friendly Markets LLC will announce a new store prototype for Irondequoit Thursday morning.

Company officials said the announcement—scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Depot Plaza on Ridge Road East — is part of a major investment in Monroe County stores. The new prototype represents Tops’ efforts to better serve its customers, officials said.

Those scheduled to attend include Frank Curci, Tops president and CEO; Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks; Irondequoit Town Supervisor Mary Joyce D’Aurizio and Robert Morgan, CEO of Morgan Management LLC.

Tops is headquartered in Williamsville, Erie County and operates 154 company-owned and five franchise locations under the Tops, Grand Union and Bryant’s banners.
