Bergmann completes 100th LEED project

Rochester Business Journal
December 2, 2013

Bergmann Associates P.C. recently completed its 100th Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified project.

The LEED rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, is a program for buildings, homes and communities that are designed, constructed, maintained and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.

The 100 projects from Bergmann are spread throughout 12 states, covering six industry types. Among the projects in Bergmann’s LEED portfolio are: the Clinical & Translational Science Institute at the University of Rochester; ABVI Goodwill retail store in Macedon, Wayne County; and the Center City building at the University of Charlotte in North Carolina.

Also notable is the Crocs store at Destiny USA in Syracuse, which marks the 100th LEED certified project for Bergmann and was Crocs’ first LEED certified store. Bergmann provided LEED consulting and commissioning services for the 2,646 square-foot space that features an LED lighting system, low volatile organic compounds construction materials and uses the mall’s rainwater harvest system.
