Delta Air Lines to expand service from Rochester

Rochester Business Journal
December 13, 2013

Delta Air Lines Inc. will expand its service from Rochester to four locations, including two more round-trip flights to New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, as of April, officials said Friday.

Delta also will add a daily flight from Greater Rochester International Airport to LaGuardia Airport, for a total of five to New York City each day, said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.

The airline also plans to increase service from Rochester to Minneapolis and Detroit in 2014.

Delta is the leading air carrier in Rochester.

“Delta’s expanded service plan will increase efficiency and provide more opportunities for vacationers and business travelers alike, all while providing a shot in the arm for the Rochester economy,” Schumer said in a statement.
