The Taste of Ethiopia restaurant at 155 State St. marked its opening Friday.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days a week in 3,000 square feet of renovated space. Its owner, Mesrak Tesfaye, plans to serve authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

“Taste of Ethiopia brings a new flavor to downtown and we wish her great success in this beautiful building,” said Delmonize Smith, commissioner of Neighborhood and Business Development for the city of Rochester.
