RF Communications gets orders worth $131 million

Harris Corp.’s RF Communications in Rochester announced orders from two customers Monday, totaling $131 million.

The first was for $82 million in orders from an international customer for radio communication systems that enable enhanced command and control and real-time situational awareness. The second was for $49 million in orders to provide a nation in Asia with enhanced tactical communications and field support.

“Harris continues to lead the global deployment of wideband tactical communications to armed forces around the world,” said Brendan O’Connell, president of RF Communications’ international business, in a statement.

RF Communications ranked third on the most recent Rochester Business Journal list of manufacturers with 2,100 workers.
