Seneca Foods Corp. has purchased the assets of Unilink LLC from Pennsylvania Food Group LLC. It also has acquired Lebanon Valley Cold Storage LP and its subsidiary, Lebanon Valley Cold Storage LLC.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The businesses, based in Lebanon, Pa., sell frozen fruits and vegetables in packaged private label for retail and food service. Marion, Wayne County-based Seneca Foods announced plans to acquire the businesses in June.
“We believe that these operations are a complementary fit with our frozen vegetable business, which is primarily based in the Midwest,” said Kraig Kayser, Seneca Foods’ President and CEO, in a statement. “It will give the company an eastern distribution point for private label retail and food service frozen vegetables, with an experienced work force, solid book of business and potential for growth in the future."
