Badger Technologies expanding in Farmington

Badger Technologies Inc. is expanding in Farmington, real estate developer Buckingham Properties LLC announced.

Badger recently signed a long-term lease for 33,000 additional square feet, nearly doubling its presence in their manufacturing facility on County Road 41 in Ontario County. Buckingham has started construction.

The project includes a 16,600-square-foot addition and renovations to the rest of the Badger space in the facility. The expansion will bring new jobs to the facility.

“Our expansion demonstrates an increase in work which in turn provides job growth. This is not only good for Badger but good for the area,” said Togo DeBellis, CEO and president of Badger, in a statement Monday.

Badger Technologies, formed in 1992, provides contract electronics manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies, cable and wire harnesses and electro-mechanical box builds for the military, commercial, test and instrumentation, and medical industries.

This development for Badger continues Buckingham’s recent trend of build-to-suit projects in Upstate New York, officials said.

“We are pleased to have been able to bring this deal together with coordinated efforts of our development, construction and leasing teams," said Ken Glazer, project development manager at Buckingham.

Buckingham owns and manages more than 40 properties comprising in excess of 7 million square feet of rental space in the Greater Rochester region.
