RF Communications receives $81 million in orders

Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division in Henrietta has received orders totaling $81 million for its tactical radios from the U.S. Special Operations Command.

The radios will allow the agency to deploy secure wideband tactical communications, the company said.

George Helm, president of RF Communications’ Department of Defense business, said the radio systems meet emerging requirements of the tactical network for wireless, secure and high-data rate communications.

“The result is improved command and control and situational awareness through better informed war fighters,’’ Helm said, in a statement.
