Entercom Communications Corp. has named Michael Doyle its new regional president, effective immediately.
Doyle will oversee Entercom’s stations in Rochester; Buffalo; Gainesville, Fla; Indianapolis; Memphis, Tenn.; Wichita, Kan.; and Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Entercom owns five stations in Rochester including WPXY-FM 97.9, WBEE-FM 92.5 and WCMF-FM 96.5.
“Michael Doyle has been an outstanding, innovative leader for Entercom over his 12 years with the company,” said David Field, CEO and president of Entercom, in a statement. “He is an exceedingly bright and talented executive who excels at both strategic planning and operational execution.”
Doyle joined Entercom in 2000 as vice president and market manager of Entercom Rochester. He was promoted to regional vice president in 2007.
“Top to bottom Entercom is stronger today than ever before,” said Doyle, in a statement. “In my 12 years with Entercom and my 27 years in the radio industry, I have never seen a greater opportunity for success than right now.”
