Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division in Rochester said Monday it has received three orders totaling $42 million.
The largest was a $25 million order from an undisclosed government in the Middle East for high-frequency tactical radios as part of a military communications modernization program. RF Communications will supply the country’s armed forces with base stations, vehicular systems and manpack radios, the company said.
The company also announced a $10 million order to supply the Polish Ministry of National Defense with its radios, as well as a $7 million radio order from an unnamed Middle Eastern country.
“(High frequency) radio systems are crucial for delivering up-to-the-minute situational awareness and command and control,’’ said Brendan O’Connell, president of RF Communications’ International Business unit, in a statement.
The announcements follow more than $42 million in orders announced last week by the company.
RF Communications employs some 2,200 local workers.
